The profile wears out just like the surface of the ball. The scaled up surface of the ball looks like peaks and valleys. The peaks wear down with each shot and lose their grip, while valleys are filled up with oil, dust and dirt. The result is less and less grip from the surface of the ball to the lane and weaker reaction.We recommend the following ball maintenance:- Wipe off oil and dirt before/after each shot with a Bowling Ball Shammy- Use Bowling Ball Cleaner or Cleaning Wipes after each time you have played- Resurface your ball every 100-200 games with Sanding PadsDo NOT use Nitro, Alcohol, Aceton, Petrol or other aggressive solvents to clean your bowling ball. You will harm the tender surface of the ball permanently. Do NOT put your bowling ball into the oven. To resurface your ball, bring it to a ProShop or contact the service center.
